Allentown Municipal Golf Course. One of the best courses in the Lehigh Valley, Allentown Municipal Golf Course has been recently renovated and reopened to rave reviews. With sculptured sand bunkers, two ponds and new bent grass tees and greens, the course is challenging and rewarding. Opened in 1952, the 18-hole, par-72 Championship golf course has greens and fairways that challenge even the serious golfer, as well as a grass driving range and a short game practice area with five sets of tees. Bethlehem Golf Club. Bethlehem Golf Club is rated as a four star facility by Golf Digest and has been host to a Nike Tour qualifying event. Opened in 1965, the municipal parkland course with a nice mix of flat and hilly terrain, wide fairways are large, bunkered greens. The complex consists of the 18-hole Monocacy Course, the 9-hole Executive Course, a miniature golf course, and a driving range. The Monoacacy course features 7,017 yards of outstanding golf from the longest tees for a par of 71. The 9-hole Executive Course has seven par 4 holes and 2 par 3 holes.
